This weekend, thousands of women will descend upon Cincinnati for the Queen Bee Half Marathon and 4-miler event, normally held every May but rescheduled this year due to COVID-19. This annual celebration honors sisterhood while empowering female participants.

Since joining Coach Parry, Celeste has achieved her 10-kilometer personal best and found that her half marathon race went better than expected! She credits this success to Coach Parry's training program.

The Course

The Queen Bee Half Marathon is an exclusive women-only running race organized by the same team behind Cincinnati's Flying Pig Marathon. It promotes fitness while raising support and funds for local charities that focus on women. Runners will experience plenty of pampering, swag, and fun – the ideal recipe for an enjoyable girls weekend experience! The course passes through some of Cincinnati's historic neighborhoods while providing plenty of entertainment from bands and DJs as well as refreshing zones throughout their journey.

On Saturday morning at 7:30 AM, runners will begin the half marathon race from E. Central Parkway in Pendleton and travel through several neighborhoods such as Eden Park, East Walnut Hills, Hyde Park and adjacent Mount Adams before reaching Sawyer Point Park for its finish line.

As part of the race, several streets will be closed and traffic diverted around its route, encouraging drivers to plan accordingly and avoid it whenever possible. METRO will maintain bus service along these affected routes.

Running and walking participants can use RaceJoy's free mobile app to live track their progress throughout the course, with GPS progress alerts based on bib/chip crossing timing data. Supportive spectators can use SMS text alerts when their runner or walker reaches halfway and finish line; unofficial GPS performance time updates that often fall within 30 seconds of official scored result are provided here; thousands will benefit this weekend in Queen Bee Half Marathon events alone! The Pre-Race Experience

The Queen Bee Half Marathon offers runners a scenic running experience. Starting from Pioneer Park and looping around Lake Elmo and ZooMontana, runners will enjoy breathtaking vistas of surrounding mountains and rolling hillsides on this route.

Billings' annual half marathon race draws thousands of runners from throughout Montana for this annual event, featuring two distance options – half marathon and 5K – which start side-by-side but are eventually separated into corrals according to projected finish times; for the half marathon start time it is 7 am with approximately three to five minute breaks between waves of runners.

Running enthusiasts should attend the race expo and take advantage of all of the fantastic merchandise on offer, such as shirts, socks, sunglasses, honey, and other tasty goodies. Plus, this event presents runners with many opportunities to meet other racers!

The Perfect Women's Race

Pig Works puts great effort into organizing an enjoyable event and an ideal place for women to celebrate being women. At the Queen Bee Half they recognize women's desire for pampering; so the Queen Bee Half offers flowers, mimosas, chocolate treats and an exclusive Bee-U-Tique Expo experience as part of its commitment to celebrating female runners as friends, sisters, mothers and daughters alike.

For those unable to attend the race expo, race day will provide an alternative option: you can collect your bib and swag at the starting line from 5:30-8:30am from 5:30-8:30am and also use our hosted gear check service during this timeframe.

It provides live phone tracking, GPS-based progress alerts and its unique Send-a-Cheer feature, which enables spectators to send fun yet motivational audio cheers directly to tracked participants – over 3,000 cheers were sent at last year's event alone, including some fun Halloween cheers!

The Post-Race Celebration

The Queen Bee Half Marathon and 4-miler are among a growing trend of races tailored specifically for women, created by Pig Works (organizers of Cincinnati races such as Flying Pig Marathon). Established to promote fitness while raising funds for local women-centric charities, thousands of women will take to the streets this weekend and visit its accompanying day expo at Duke Energy Convention Center – with gear, vendors, pampering opportunities galore!

As runners and walkers navigate their way along the course, there will be an exciting variety of entertainment provided by bands and DJs as well as hydration and refreshment zones at each mile. They'll even receive the special Queen Bee medal featuring blinking lights to commemorate BLINK 2019.

At the finish line, participants will be welcomed by an enthusiastic volunteer who will present them with their prize and lead them towards water, post-race snacks and the amazing after party where they'll celebrate their accomplishments with friends, family and fellow racers alike.

Drinks

This year's after party will differ significantly from those held in prior years. Instead of being hosted at its usual spot at Yeatman's Cove in Seattle, which provides more music, hydration and food vendors; and will feature both DJs and live bands. Runners will also be able to enjoy cocktails from Tito's Vodka as well as beer from Yeatman's Brewing Company during this celebration!

Not only will runners enjoy access to great hydration and food after their race, they will also have access to Massage Envy's massage tent to unwind afterward. Our professional masseuses will be on hand to add that special something extra!
